As English instructors, we often come across a variety of fascinating and charming stories written by our students. We read stories about first love, adventure, scary experience, family conflict, beautiful moment, broken heart, entrepreneurialship, etc. We often want to share these stories with our colleagues, or think our student’s story should get printed and/or published. Well, I’ve come up with a solution for us all.

I’d like to invite you in a project. I’m calling for papers, compositions, and/or essays written by international, ESL and/or ELL students. Send me your student’s work and I might use it in the next edition of Real International Stories. If I choose to use the work you submit, I’ll include your name in the textbook’s credits as a reviewer and contributor. You’ll also receive a complimentary copy. This is an excellent opportunity for instructors to build their resume, provide an authentic voice for their students, and promote their school and its class(es).

If interested, email me, the author of Real International Stories. You and the student will then need to sign a “permissions release” form (click here), and we’ll take it from there. I look forward to hearing from you, and reading your students’ work!
